A higher, if still minimal, wage

Here's to everyone who was earning less than $5.70 an hour before today, when Wisconsin raised its minimum wage rate. You deserve more, but $5.70 beats $5.15 or anything in between $5.15 and $5.70.

And here's to everyone who helped get it done. You know who you are -- and who you aren't.

Here's hoping the voters remember, too.

I live here in Madison, and my minimum wage was supposed to go up to $7.75 (I make $6.75 right now). Please tell me why I should celebrate, when now I'm not going to get any wage hike at all?

And my friend Shauna who is a waitress is literally going to get her wages cut today, from $2.57 back down to $2.33, her boss already told her. So put a cork back in your bubbly, dude. Not everybody is celebrating.

so we should screw 100,000 people who live outside of Madison to give YOU a raise? Typical Madison arrogance.

What's with the 'tude, dude?

I think they should get a raise, too.

And if you think my poor self is somehow typical of "Madison arrogance" you are one messed-up guy. I'm just saying, I got robbed, so stop celerbating, k?
