Mark Green, meet Jessica Simpson

Rep. Mark Green has been to Iraq a couple of times, he'll have you know, and the worst thing about the war in Iraq isn't all of the people, military and civilians, getting killed there.

No, Green says that the worst thing is that we never hear any of the good news! And that is bad for morale, here and there.

Well, Jessica Simpson, one of Xoff's regular sources, went to Iraq, too, with her hubby.

And you know what?

When they showed her visit on a TV special, they didn't show any of the bad news!

So, as you can imagine, she is quite upset -- maybe not as upset as Mark Green, but upset nonetheless. She wants to know where that footage went.

Simpson says, "It was unbelievable. They didn't show a lot of what really went on with the enemy attacks and the shelling. There was so much stuff that went on and somehow the tapes got mysteriously misplaced."

Wonkette has the rest of the story.

The tape is probably in one of her makeup bags. She will just have to lip-synch her way through it.

I am sure she had tons of footage of enemy attacks. Hopefully the military confiscated Jessica and Nick's bedtime video too - because none of us want to see that.

Green has taken the same page out of Tim Michels losing play book. Michels also said that the only thing he would change about Iraq was all the negative news coverage. Of course this is a very old page first inserted in the right wing play book by Spiro Agnew who complained of the "nattering nabobs of negativity."

In Green's world he wonders, "Do we really having hear about the deaths of 2 Wisconsin troops this week?"

And all the negative coverage of Micheal Jackson during his molestation trial. How unpatriot for the media to attack a American pop icon.

Where was all the good news about Micheal?

Maybe Green should start a "Victory for Michael" caucus to get more media attention to the "good" news that he was acquitted.
