Watering down my right to shoot people

There they go again. Now the legislature is putting a bunch of exceptions into the concealed carry law.

I think I'm with Owen at Boots and Sabers on this one.

If I can't take my gun to the day care center, or to a kids' soccer game, or even to visit a friend at the hospital, what's the point? This bill's so meaningless it should just be defeated.

If that's not enough, they don't want you to carry when you're drunk, either. As Art Kumbalek would say, "What the fock, ain'a?"

Hmmm.... I think I detect a tiny bit of sarcasm.

Nah. Must be my imagination.

Hey if you want to put protecting your life and your families life in the hands of a police officer who may not get there in time fine its your right but you have no right to say I cannot defend myself or my family if attacked you antigun people aways forget the idea is to be able to defend oneself.

and since sarcasm is the mood of day let me remind you once again

Teddy Kennedys car has killed more people than any of my guns :p

awesome...if this bill passes, instead of worrying about being in the crossfire of rival gang members, I will have to suspect everyone I encounter as having a loaded concealed weapon. Where's my concealed body armor bill? Where's my right to defend myself against those with poor accuracy? The logical defense of the CCW bill is fit for a preschooler.

Xoff--please remember that you, personally, don't have to carry a gun ANYPLACE.

And neither do those in the Legislature who vote against the bill, using projections of themselves ("road-rage shootings," etc.) as objections.

Just be grateful when a CCW permit holder saves your butt from an armed robber at your local convenience store--or maybe you don't have to shop on 16th/Atkinson???

That gives me a whole different perspective on you, Dad29. I didn't realize you were a conservative living at 16th and Atkinson.

I think you would find that most people in that neighborhood think there are more than enough guns on the street now. The inner city isn't clamoring for concealed carry; it's the suburbanites who seem to feel the need ro carry them.

X, do you have a valid poll on the opinion of Inner City homeowners on the topic?

If so, please share the results. Otherwise, you are speculating, incorrectly.

I thought we had gotten over the notion that only landowners were entitled to an opinion or a vote. What century are you living in, Pops?

Do you have a valid poll suggesting inner city residents want more guns on the streets?

I'd be happy to put that to a referendum.
