A lot at stake for Wisconsin women
There's a lot at stake for Wisconsin women, and for those who love them, in November's election for governor.
Access to health care, family planning information, and even birth control may hang in the balance. If Republicans maintain control of both houses of the legislature and Mark Green becomes governor, it will be loony tune times every day.
No wonder Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin is focusing its efforts on reelection Gov. Jim Doyle, whose courageous vetoes have already stopped right-to-lifers fro turning back the calendar.
PPAW announced its endorsement of Doyle today, and unveiled an Internet video of Doyle discussing women's health issues as well as a direct mail piece contrasting Doyle and Green.
The campaign is laying the groundwork for a fall election in which anti-choice, anti-birth control advocates will find themselves on the defensive for a change. If voters learn where the pro-lifers really stand on some of these vital issues that have nothing to do with abortion, change will come.

Another troll with nothing to say.
Wow, some expresses a different viewpoint and all you can come up with is calling them a troll with nothing to say.
Who's the one with nothing to say?
silent--"other side" had to say exactly what MOST of the Left does: name-calling.
Dad's right! After all, this isn't name calling:
"anti-life, anti-personal responsibilty or anti-self control advocates"
Why, exactly, should I respect the people who think my wife is a whore because we're using birth control?
Dave, does your wife use abortion/murder as a form of birth control? I didn't see any reference to your wife, or anyone else's wife. As Poor Richard said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
I'll give the benefit of the doubt to dad29 and silent e because they actually maintain blog sites with active commentary.
The others are still trolls and have no redeeming value.
As far as what you think of me ... I really couldn't care.
When the anti-abortion forces begin supporting issues such as opposition to the death penalty and providing homes to ALL children in need, then we might call you pro-life.
It was the not-so-reverend Jerry Falwell who told women in his area that he (his church) would pay them to not abort. When asked if he would provide assistance after birth, the good reverend was silent and walked away.
You're right, it's not religious zealotry, it's fanaticism without remorse.
Okay deedub, thanks. Just like you guys stereotype us all as tinfoil hat wearing moonbats.
Oh, and the last part about calling us names. Cut it out. You sound like some 9-year old on the playground. Step out of your glass house.
