Time to recall Grothman?

Noting a Journal Sentinel blog item that says the so-called Taxpayer Bill of Rights is still on hold in the State Senate, Eye On Wisconsin asks:

It is almost the year anniversary of Glenn Grothman’s overthrow of former state senator and majority leader Mary Panzer (R-West Bend). Now pardon me for meddling in the affairs of the right wing, but I’m just trying to figure something out. Didn’t Grothman successfully oust Panzer because she took too long in bringing TABOR (so called “Taxpayer Bill of Rights”) up for a vote? Then after he won, he was made the point man for the TABOR effort right? Well, has TABOR come up for a vote in the last year? No. So can we assume that the right wing will now start a recall of Grothman?

Gee whiz Xoff, and I thought only CRG noticed the Great Grothman Disappearing Act. I believe his pre-election words were, "I am going to Madison to change it, not be changed by it." From where I sit it looks like more of the "same old same old."

One day, in the not too distant future, all the partisan hacks out there stumping for their party instead of for the people will realize we are all being taken for a ride by both parties. I salivate waiting for that day. When the alarm bell finally rings, waking the public from the infatuation and stupor of major party politics, even the staunchest Democrats and Republicans will look each other in the eye and rage "We've been had" and march arm in arm to Madison. I cannot wait to see the "deer caught in the headlights" look on the faces of the political elite as they utter in unison the famous words of Astro "R-ut,r-oh, R-eorge!"

(For those under 50 click here for an explanation of the preceding reference.)

My invitation to join us for a front row seat is still open. I guarantee it will be a spectacle not seen since the French Revolution.

Kind Regards,
