"Ask any 6-year-old if it's OK to kill someone because he killed someone else. The answer is so obvious, they'll think it's a trick question."

You have precisely identified the problem with Democrats. They have the mentality of six-year-olds. It’s one of the reasons why we adults don’t ask kids if they would prefer vegetables or potato chips with their dinner.
I would bet that if you asked a six-year-old who saw his mother being raped and murdered, he/she may have a slightly different perspective on the proper form of punishment for the thug. I realize that the line of thought necessary may require ten-year-old reasoning skills but I am sure you can get there – I believe in your potential.
There's nothing funnier than a Republican accusing a Democrat of being childish, especially when you consider how they debate.
Death penalty: "I bet you'd feel differently if it was your mother that it had been murdered."
Translation: "Bad man hurt Mommy! Must punish bad man!"
Iraq: "We must stay the course and respect the President's leadership."
Translation: "Daddy is never wrong!"
Abortion/birth control: "We must respect life and discourage unsafe behavior."
Translation: "Abortion bad! Girls are sluts!"
