Just one nagging question about poll

New Wisconsin poll.

Everybody loves Tommy. (Run, Tommy, Run.) Nobody likes W. (Run away from Bush.) Close race for gov. (Run, Tommy, Run?)

It's done by a Republican firm. Question: Who's paying for these? Strategic Vision isn't doing it out of curiosity. Knowing who's paying the bill would help put it in some perspective. And, yes, the same is true of others that show up from time to time.

Actually, Strategic Vision's business model was to come in, poll, and release the poll as advertising to pick up clients. Maybe their business model has changed, but that's what they were doing before.

That raises all sorts of questions about the results and if they're somewhat skewed in methodology in order to sell polling to any of the Republicans running. I'd like to see someone do a thorough shakedown of the results.

Of course, it doesn't matter much at this point. We know Doyle is vulnerable, really to whomever the Republicans nominate. We don't need a poll to confirm that.

I did some research and found that the clients listed on Strategic Vision's website were all Republican...no surprise there.
