Quote, unquote

"As an aside, this election would actually be sort of hilarious, were it not for the fact that I am completely shafted by this race. I own a rental property in Waukesha, so I'm stuck paying the property taxes that Nelson wants to jack up but I didn't get to vote in this election because the City of Waukesha is not my residence. Thanks, Waukesha voters!!"

--Landlord Jessica McBride, personalizing the Waukesha mayor's race.

There you go. Only freeholders owning property worth more than £50 should be allowed to vote in Waukesha.

McBride doesn't understand that as a landlord she can and should increase her rents to cover rising property taxes. If she can't get the rents she needs to cover the additional taxes and make a respectable profit, she should have never bought the property.

With all investments there is risk. If she wants the government to remove any risk from her she's just another misguided Republican at best.

It's amazing how the Republicans want government to help them out when it profits them but when it comes to helping others they talk about personal responsibility. It's a sad hypocricy.
