Sykes sets high standards -- for me, not himself

ROVE CLEARED; XOFF WIPES EGG FROM FACE

No indictment for Karl Rove.

Waiting for Doyle smearmeister Xoff to retract bogus posting from May... probably too busy trying to spin Doyle-Thompson fiasco.
There's a reason I hadn't posted anything about Rove at 7:16 this morning. I was still in bed.

Unlike Sykes, who probably gets up at 4 a.m. to prepare for his show, I keep a civilized schedule.

So I posted my Rove item at 8:19 a.m. -- 55 minutes after the Washington Post reported it.

Also unlike Sykes, I blog on my own time, not on the corporate payroll.

So what's this about? I suspect the Liz Woodhouse item, which I commented on Monday night at Boots and Sabers, may have played a role.

AND FURTHERMORE: While we're on the subject of acknowledging mistakes, Sykes has still never set the record straight on this, even though it has been known since June 5 that the suspect was a legal resident:
Sykes Writes:

SEARCH ON FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT

Search for suspect now nationwide

The search has gone national for a man suspected of shooting five people -- killing two of them -- in South Shore Park on Memorial Day, Milwaukee police said.

Octaviano Juarez-Corro, 33, is suspected of killing a man, 31, and boy, 17, and injuring three others -- all people police say he knew. Juarez-Corro was in the U.S. illegally and has ties to Mexico, prompting Milwaukee detectives to notify border officers to watch for him. A temporary warrant has been issued and sent out to all law enforcement in the U.S.

So the South Shore Park shooter was an illegal alien?

Like Wilbert Prado?

And bank robber Nicolas Navarrete ?

Maybe that's a part of the story that should have been mentioned before today? Especially since police knew that Juarez-Corro was an illegal as early as Monday?
Sykes has known he was a legal resident for nine days now. When will he retract?

If only you spent as much time worrying about your own retractions...

I'll remind you that your post said his indictment was coming at any minute.

What a crock.

Why not just accept responsibility for your own work instead of worrying about someone elses?

Then realdebate, why don't you follow your own advice? Why are you commenting here?

Why don't you ask Sykes that same question?

Oops, forgot. He doesn't like criticism, so he doesn't allow comments.
