Mark Green's "back to school" tax break is so full of holes, the gap it'd leave in the state budget might not even be the biggest... Green's proposal is an election-year mirage that doesn't have any substance beyond the 30-second sound bite it provides.

Is an "election year mirage" something like saying you've balanced the budget and held the line on taxes? It sounds to me like Green has an actual idea for giving consumers a break on some taxes. It might not be much but at least it's a start. What was Jim Doyles idea? WAIT I got it. He's not going to go enforce the minimum mark up on ethanol. Um hold on. I forgot that it wasn't his idea. It was only a reaction to something Green said......
