Quote, unquote

"I think that I've become -- I hope -- a credible spokesman for a muscular view of anti-terrorist activity by the Democrats as well as the country. The fact is, I've never been just an anti-war guy."
-- Sen. Russ Feingold.

Appearently Russ considers the U.S. a terrorist organization. That being the case then yes, he is quite a muscular view of anti-terrorist activity

"To some extent, we gutted our capacity to finish the job in Afghanistan, and allowed the Taliban and others to come back in by putting too much emphasis on Iraq," Feingold said.

The truth hurts, doesn't it?

That's a very "parochial" (selfish pettiness or narrowness - as of interests, opinions, or views). view of history, gwc shadow. Typical for you, so far.

All atarijpb and Feingold were saying is that the Taliban are making a resurgence in Afghanistan because of our troubles in Iraq. Nowhere in that sentence is cutting and running from Iraq mentioned. That's a fact.

Fact #2: Bush and his administration have f--ked up the war on terrorism. Because of their incompetence 2,500+ American soldiers are dead and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilans are dead.

I don't see the same numbers of American dead from Clinton's presidency. Your guys had plenty of chances to address this issue with Clinton in a true bi-partisan effort, instead your party concentrated all their time on whether Clinton had his pants zippered or not.

You voted for Bush. You share the blame.

Only for those who would close their minds.

"So atari you would cut and run from Iraq then. Didn't Bill Clinton show us what happens when you cut and run? I believe Bin Laden said that after Black Hawk Down he was MORE inpspired to attack the U.S. in Ben Miller's 1996 interview with Bin Laden when we cut and ran from there. You must not know anything about recent history."

I love the cut and run argument. I know, instead of figuring out a better solution for this unwinnable war (especially in the half-assed way it is being contested by us) we should continue to sacrifice the brave NATIONAL GUARD troops and stay the course.

I'll tell you what. Run a draft and see how long this charade lasts. GWC Shadow - are you game? I didn't think so.
