Praise the Lord and drop the nukes

War with Iran -- a war that would unleash an apocalyptic scenario in the Middle East -- is probable by the end of the Bush administration. It could begin in as little as three weeks.

That frightening assessment is not from some nut case.

It comes from Chris Hedges,the former Middle East bureau chief for The New York Times and the author of "War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning."

Hedges says the Christian right sees nuclear war with Iran as preordained, a vision from the Bible. Bush may be a believer, too.
