Wisconsin GOP goes Green
No, not on environmental issues. But delegates to the state Republican convention, for the second year in a row, favored Mark Green over Scott Walker for governor in a straw poll run by WisPolitics. Results.
The first to send congratulations will probably be Gov. Tom Barrett, who handily won the straw polls at the state Democratic conventions in 2001 and 2002 before losing the primary to Jim Doyle.
Meanwhile, the state's most liberal newspaper, The Capital Times, sees Green as the much lesser of two evils, and practically endorses him in an editorial.Walker will probably use it against him.
