Another Green pal bites the dust

WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 — Representative Bob Ney, an Ohio Republican entangled in a corruption scandal involving the lobbyist Jack Abramoff, announced today that he is abandoning his bid to win re-election.

You may remember Ney as the good buddy of Rep. Mark Green, who invited Ney to hold a Green campaign media event disguised as a "hearing" on "voter fraud" in Milwaukee last October.

First Tom DeLay, now Bob Ney.
