Republicans duck women's forum

GOP legislators in the Eau Claire area have found a new excuse to duck forums with their opponents -- claim bias by the sponsors.

This is an even higher standard than the one which suggests that the governor can never meet with anyone who has contributed to his campaign or approve a state contract with any donor, or anyone who might donate later. That's the strangers-only clause.

Now the GOP have combed through their challengers' finance reports to see if any forum sponsors might have given money to a Democrat. Found one. So sorry, no show.

The Eau Claire Leader Telegram has the story, and Jody at the Side Street has some words on the GOP girly men.

So wimps, what is your excuse?
Is it scheduling, format or bias?

Renee at Crawford's Take has the explanation for you in her headline:

The men pulled out. Too soon, as it were.

I call it "politicus interruptus" on the part of the GOP men.

So they are to be pitied. Poor things. Poor li'l things.

Sounds kind of like what Doyle and Green did 7 times with the debates. One even by the hand that feeds you.

The GOP is afraid of several things.
Foremost, a liberal with a gun.
Second, it's a female Speaker of the House, or worse, a female President. Can't have an emotional type sitting in the seat of ultimate poer.
Finally, it's actually all females. The ones whose ovaries: produce the source of those stem cells;
the source of all future humans, and
the single largest voting block in nearly every county in the United States.

Yes the GOP fears women more than anything.

Thanks for the link to Side Street to see the GOP letter -- and the best laugh of the day. The men pulled out because the women's topics are "incredibly broad."

Yes, the incredible broads of Eau Claire are too much for these guys.

They need a new writer, preferably of a different gender. Would a woman have written that letter for them?

(Well, maybe a GOP woman who is fed up with them and their party's attitudes toward women's concerns, too.)

The Side Street also thanks you for the link to The Side Street. I've been having Lefty Blog feed malfunctions and I am grateful for the Xoff traffic. Between you and Paul Soglin The Street has been bustling today.

You are especially gentlemanly in light of the tone certain persons from The Side Street have taken with you at times in blog comments. It just proves what I have always said -
Real Men Hang Left.

And, um....that illustration of Doyle I did that will be coming out on the cover of the next Outpost issue? Well, that's, ah...wickedly humorous, but NOT actually disrespectful. Okay?

Good, glad we got this all settled.
See ya.
