Postscript on polling

If you can stand it, I need to add one thing to the long piece on polling below.

I am told that in the past, when candidates and their campaigns were trying to sell a poll story, that Journal Sentinel policy had been to require the campaign to give the newspaper a copy of the entire poll.

For some reason, the JS did not do that with Walker last week and let him selectively give them the information that was most favorable to him.

So I take back my conclusion. We are off to a bad start for '06 coverage, not a good one.
