Bill Johnston and I both started our careers with Lee Enterprises at the Wisconsin State Journal in 1973.

Now he's been named WSJ publisher and I am editor of The Xoff Files.

Maybe, if I hadn't gone on strike in 1977...

Actually, I'd bet I'm happier.
