Price police on the prowl

You'll be happy to know the taxpayer-paid price police are out on patrol, making sure gas prices are high enough.

I am not making this up.

UPDATE:
Gov. Doyle stops the cops.

UPDATE 2: An Xoff emailer says: Remember when the right wing squawkers called the reformulated gas "Gore Gas?" Think they'll mind if we call the new, cut-rate blended fuel "Doyle Gas?" I love the smell of Doyle Gas in the morning. It smells like victory.

You mean they're out enforcing that minimum markup Doyle refuses to repeal?

Minimum markup isn't the issue. Considering E85 in the same category as regular unleaded is. That increases your "minimum markup" from 9.18% to over 50%.
