A failure to communicate

Sometimes young Congressional pages, new to the game of politics and government, misinterpret some common terminology used on the Hill.

Speaker Dennis Hastert's memo clears it all up.

Oh ... listen ... its the newly moral minority.

Christoff and Al Gore invented virtue and virginity.

Remember the good old days when you could win elections and be a savvy political advisor and strategist?

Now you are a pathetic opportunist who doesn’t actually care about who screws the page staff but who screws the Republicans.

A fine human you are.

Our side takes care of our own – your side enables yours.

Admit it - you would be laughing your ass off if it happened to a Dem. Get off your high horse and deal with it - a homosexual pedophelia scandal just wasn't what you needed to rally the base in this midterm election.

Also - I love your comment about how your side "takes care" of their own - do you mean covering it up or throwing them under the bus?

"do you mean covering it up or throwing them under the bus?"

In this case, they're managing to do both.

We'll see about the cover up. These IM's have been out for 3 years. If someone other than Hastert or the republicans were sitting on them, they should be held accountable. As for throwing someone under the bus, investigations are in progress, if Hastert did anything he should go. Foley is already gone which is more than I can say for Gary Studs who was subsequently re-elected 7 times after sleeping with a page. But that's OK.

GWC Shadow,

Wanna talk about the issues? Let's start with these:

Spying on American citizens -- wiretapping and obtaining bank, credit, library and Internet records without a warrant, detainees held without charges or evidence, military tribunals without detainees knowing the evidence against them, the realy possibility of ANYONE being named an "enemy combatant," rendering detainees to secret CIA prisons, torture, suspension of Habeas Corpus, retroactive pardoning of war crimes, or any of the other incredible "accomplishments" of Our Dear Leader that were passed by Congress.

Your responses?

Wiretapping and obtainig information of people who contact terrorists or terrorist organizations. Holding detainees who would otherwise use civilians as shields or blow up aircraft. Torture? barking dogs, loud music, cold cells, and a little humiliation is not torture. I have no problem with any of these. WAIT!! Don't forget the Geneva Convention. Oh that't right, it doesn't apply... What was your plan again?

ILLEGAL wiretapping. DUE PROCESS: It's the LAW. WATERBOARDING? Torture, and illegal.

Anything else illegal you don't have a problem with?

Tapping calls that originate outside of the US isn't illegal. Watch a behaeding video sometime and then talk about due process. These wretches treat humans with absolutely no respect for life and they should be treated the same. Next time we catch one of these guys why don't we just let him stay at your house. You should expect to be treated yourself as you treat others. It's all part of the terrorist experience. Again.....What was your plan?

This torture thing is bugging me. Where has it been done and who has been caught? The only people found guilty of torture are Lindy Englund et.al. That, by the way, was not torture. The only thing the goverment is guilty of is feeding these slugs too much. Boo hoo. What was your plan again????

Hey Atari,
Why don't you keep up with your blog? You have more to say than old cut-n-paste Bill.

KSM was waterboarded. Lindy didn't do that.

The "ultimate backfire of Democrats" is causing your party to eat their own in order to scramble for position. It's been fun to watch so far.

Taken from Silent E's blog - "Lets stick to the issues. Terrorism, Taxes, Education and all that other good stuff. I've found that if you can get a liberal off the Foley thing, they STILL don't have any answers or a plan for, well, anything."

Any day of the week. Post and I'll have no problem ripping you up. Your move. We can start with Terrorism if you would like - read Woodward's book yet?
