Sweetheart deal?

OK, this has gone far enough -- too far, in fact.

From WisPolitics report to subscribers:
- The spot includes two Doyle donors -- David Kruger, CEO and owner of the Fiore Co., and the governor's wife, Jessica.

Kruger says Doyle "closed the biggest deficit ever and balanced the budget." Kruger donated $11,000 to Doyle's campaign between 2002 and 2005. The governor re-appointed him to the WHEDA board in 2003. Kruger was first appointed to the body in 1999.

Jessica Doyle donated $10,341 to her husband's campaigns between 1996 and 2004, according to a database maintained by the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign.
We now describe his wife as "a donor?"

So why is this Jessica Doyle giving money to the governor? One of the Xoff Files correspondents reports:
Did Ms. Doyle receive any favors or "special treatment" for her donations? Our investigation says yes. Ms. Doyle is living in a state owned building and was given the title of "First Lady."
This is an Xoff Files exclusive: There's another Doyle donor who appears in the commercial as well: Jim Doyle, who gave $5,000 to the Doyle campaign in 2000 and another $1,000 in 2005. What did he get for it? A state job with a nice salary and benefits, state housing, and a lot of meetings with Susan Goodwin and Mark Marotta.
