No foolish consistency for Green

'Tis said that foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.

Congressman Mark Green, you'll be happy to know, is hobgoblin-free.

Since George Bush took office, Green has voted down the line with him for deficit spending that has taken the US from its biggest surplus ever, which Bush inherited from Bill Clinton, to the biggest deficit and debt in history. We count it in trillions. Here's what one looks like: $1,000,000,000,000.

But in the good old days, before he became a Congressman, Mark Green was a deficit hawk. Those were the days, my friend. Who thought they'd ever end? Brew City Brawler has the details.
