FLASH: Scooter claims "selective prosecution"

*****BREAKING*****

This just in...

Taking a page out Scooter Jensen's defense playbook, Scooter Libby is now claiming "selective prosecution" in his case too.

Libby's lawyers will argue that he should not be charged for having lied to a grand jury because Karl Rove leaked Valarie Plame's name to reporters too...

Don't you just love when a big leaker like Jensen is put in the fry pan he blames everyone else or claims everyone is doing it.

Truth is before Jensen got power in the state legislature our ethics were the pride of the nation. Now they have been dragged so far into the gutter with rampant partisanship and a flood of money -- brought to you by Scooter and Leisure Suit Tommy -- that now even Illinois steps over us.

No, there is nothing I can throw up as links or references out of the Milwaukee Journal as proof because our paper was asleep under their desks. But the difference in state government before and Jensen is obvious to a blind man.

I hope Blanchard fries him with relish. Those of us with long memories know how Jensen has corrupted a system we once had pride in. Now it is time for Scooter to pay the price.

It's a shame that Common Cause and other organizations act like this a bi-partisan sin. The fact is that Jim Doyle and Chuck Chavla live in thw world Scooter and Tommy built, though I wish more of our politicians would get sick of this like Mike Ellis and try to fix it.

In the case of WWJD (What Would Jensen Do) -- grab lots of campaign cash and stir up the masses with wedge issues. Thanks for eveything Scooter.
